Christmas Just 79 Days Away: Mrs. Claus’s Has A Confession!

Time to Reveal a Little Secret

Well, I suppose it’s time I come clean. Santa and I had a little chat over tea the other night, and he said, “You know, my dear, with all the bits and bobs of the North Pole we’re revealing these days, don’t you think it’s time to let folks in on your little secret?” He’s right, of course. He usually is when it comes to these things, though I won’t tell him that too often. But I must say, it’s quite exciting to finally share something I’ve kept under wraps for so long.

Not Just the Mrs. Claus You Think You Know

You see, I’m not just Mrs. Claus, the baker of cookies, keeper of stockings, and the one who makes sure Santa doesn’t accidentally wear his pajama pants under his suit on Christmas Eve (yes, that nearly happened once). I’m also—drumroll, please—an author. And not just any author. For years, I’ve been a beloved, bestselling author here at the North Pole. But here’s the twist: I’ve been writing under a pseudonym! Yes, that’s right, I’ve had a secret identity of my own all these years, and it’s been quite the adventure keeping it under wraps.

How It All Began

It all started many, many years ago when the hustle and bustle of Christmas preparations would slow down after the big day. While Santa would kick back in his chair, relaxing with a good cup of cocoa, I found myself needing a little project. Something to keep me occupied while the elves recuperated from their toy-making marathon and the reindeer got their well-deserved break. So, I began writing.

Yes, that’s right—writing stories, poems, and even a little bit of wisdom here and there.

Writing Under a Secret Identity

But here’s where it gets interesting. Up until now, I’ve kept this little passion of mine under wraps, writing under a pseudonym—Holly J. Winterbloom (doesn’t it have a nice ring to it?). Why, you ask? It’s just that here in the North Pole, everyone knows me as Mrs. Claus, and I didn’t want the citizens of this magical place to feel obligated to buy my books simply out of respect. I wanted to know if they genuinely enjoyed what I wrote, and, to my absolute surprise, they did!

A Secret Passion for Writing Under a Pseudonym

In fact, my books landed right there on the North Pole’s bestsellers list! Imagine my shock when I found out The Snowy Day Dance had been picked up by the toy workshop’s library and was a favorite bedtime story for the elves. Or when A Reindeers First Flight became the go-to tale in the reindeer stables, especially for young fliers anxious about their first big trip! Even my little collection of poems and reflections, Snowflakes of Wisdom, found its way into the hands of many, tucked under armchairs and nestled on nightstands all across the North Pole.

The North Pole’s Best-Selling Books

The best part? No one knew it was me. They weren’t reading my books out of respect for Mrs. Claus—they were reading them because they truly loved the stories. Isn’t that just the most heartwarming thing? To know that what you’ve written speaks to someone’s heart without them knowing who you are? Being that the citizens of the North Pole are all avid readers, 3 of my books have made the North Pole’s Best Seller list at #1!

Writing for the North Pole Citizens

I’ve kept this little experiment of mine going for quite a while, and it’s been such a joy. Santa would always chuckle and wink, saying, “One day, they’re going to figure it out, my dear,” but I just smiled and kept the secret. Until now.

Mrs. Claus’s Plan to Publish in the Real World

I’ve been toying with a new idea, though. I’m thinking about sending one of my books out into the “real world,” as we call it. You know, the world beyond the snow and magic of the North Pole.

Publishing Under My Real Name

But this time, I won’t be using my pseudonym. No, this time, I’ll be publishing under my real name: Mrs. Gertrude Claus. I wonder how that will go over! I’m already picturing the puzzled faces when people realize the Mrs. Claus they’ve heard about in songs and stories has a whole other side—one who’s been quietly crafting tales from the North Pole for years.

Deciding on Which Book to Publish First

Now, I’m not sure which book I’ll send out first, but I’m leaning toward Tales from the Toy Workshop, a collection of heartwarming and humorous stories inspired by the real-life happenings in Santa’s workshop. Or maybe I’ll send The Magic of Giving, a little collection of quotes, poems, and reflections that Santa and I worked on together, about the true spirit of Christmas and the joy that comes from giving—not just presents, but love, kindness, and time.

Sharing North Pole Magic with the World

Either way, I’m thrilled about the possibility of sharing a little North Pole magic with the world. And I have to say, I’m curious to see how readers will react. Maybe one day, when you’re perusing a bookstore or scrolling through your favorite online shop, you’ll come across one of my titles. You might just spot a new book with “Mrs. Claus” on the cover, and when you do, you’ll be the first to know it’s a little piece of the North Pole coming your way.

Keep Your Eyes Open for Mrs. Claus’s Books

I’ll be sure to let you all know here on the blog when that happens—so keep your eyes open!

Holly J. Winterbloom: Mrs. Claus’s Pseudonym

In the meantime, I’ll keep writing under my pseudonym here at home, only Santa knows I’m keeping a blog at this point so I think my secret is safe at the moment. There’s something so fun about being an anonymous author in a magical land, don’t you think? But when the time is right, and when Santa and I feel the world is ready, I’ll be stepping out from behind the name Holly J. Winterbloom and sharing my stories with all of you.

So, until then, my darlings, keep your hearts open for a little North Pole magic from right here on my blog. And remember, you never know when a story from the snowy world might make its way into your hands in the form of a book!

With love,
Mrs. Claus (a.k.a. Holly J. Winterbloom)
